Yes, you may. Combining heat pump and electric heater can be helpful to cater for various weather conditions. Unlike heat pumps, electric heater performance will be independent from ambient temperature.

No. It requires the same amount of time for the water to reach the desired temperature, as the heat pump will be working at full load until the set temperature is met. In fact, we do not recommend users to set it at higher temperature, it will be a waste of energy after reaching the set temperature.

Not necessary, both heat pump and electric heater are suitable for pool and spa heating. It depends on the budget, available space, and application. An electric heater is much cheaper, less space required for installation, and it is very popular for small size and temporary pools.

Typically, every 300L of hot water is adequate for a home of up to 8 people. For very large households, multiple system installation is possible to cater for the daily needs of hot water.

Electric heaters are smaller in size, and require less space for installation. In case of failure, the electrical heaters can easily be replaced, it only takes a few hours to replace, nothing else in the system will be interrupted. It is the cheapest pool and spa heaters among the other types, an entry level product that could easily be accepted by most people. 

All systems come with an electric backup heater or booster as standard. That ensures hot water 24 hours a day, regardless of weather conditions. Model sapphire° and apollo° are specially designed for areas that experience less sunlight and cloudy situations. Support from the backup heater might not even be needed with these models.

Solarmate solar hot water systems can last for more than 15 years. Since the inception in 1980, Solarmate had thousands of installations that lasted more than 2 decades.

Clean up the evaporator fins as frequently as possible to ensure maximum heat transfer at all times. Follow the maintenance schedule to check on the refrigerant level, make sure the refrigerant level meets the required pressure level (refer to operational & maintenance manual). Clean the discharge fan to ensure the blades are free from dirt, which could cause the fan imbalancing that leads to drop of overall performance of a heat pump.

Solarmate solar hot water systems require minimal maintenance and can be as infrequent as every 3–5 years. In Malaysia, Solarmate also provides maintenance check-ups for a minimal fee. These can be beneficial in extending the life of the system and ensuring optimum performance.

Digiheat inline heater has inbuilt safety devices with water flow and over temperature cut out feature to ensure longer lifespan for the heating element.

No. Heat pumps operate at reasonable sound level, even with multiple units running at the same time for full load. Installing heat pumps indoors is very common, we have not been receiving any comments and complaints due to the unnoticeable noise it created all these years.
